Best decision Steve and I made was to sign up for Rick Steves My Way Alpine Tour.  No sooner than we started the tour, Steve was already looking at other My Way Tours we could sign up for future travels. Yes, you can save money and plan the trip yourself as we did on our first two trips to Europe. But take it from my husband Steve and let someone else do the driving and planning for you.

Another great thing about the tour was you had a fellow traveler who you could ask for a favor – like when Ruth lent me her sewing kit (which I forgot to bring) to fix a button or the time in Bolzano when Norma and Bill asked us to join them at their table when there was no more outdoor seating. I was able to return a favor to Marilyn and give her the extra poncho I had when it began to rain and it was nice when you were on a tour or walking about town to run into a fellow traveler.

Also, a big shout out for our tour guide Andrew for the treats on the bus, the information along the way, the orientation, your story, setting up the happy hour, and final dinner – you are awesome!!!

Last but not least, our bus driver Paul who drove us to each destination safely and shared his thoughts with us along the way.

So besides the great hiking, biking, tours and sites, Steve and I met some great people and made some great memories!
