Fussen, Germany

On the bus ride to Fussen, we stopped at the Zugspitze (Germany's highest peak). When we arrived the peak was covered in fog so Steve and I decided not to take the tram up. Instead we headed to the restaurant and had lunch.

King Ludwing's Hohenschwangau Castle - Reserve this tour of the two castles ahead of time. We were on the first tour of this castle and there were no crowds. A bus can take you on to the Neuschwanstein Castle but Steve and I had time so we walked to the Castle. By the time we got to the second castle the crowds were enormous, but still worth it.

On our walk to Neuschwanstein Castle - besides a bus you can also take a horse drawn carriage between the castles.
