Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland

Checked in the Hotel Oberland and made reservations for an early dinner on the front porch. We actually ate dinner here all three nights to try all the dishes Andrew recommended.

Steve and I decided to try out electric bikes for our excursion up to Murren after talking to our fellow travelers about them.

First stop was the Coop Grocery to purchase some food for our outing. Next to Imboden Bike to rent and learn how to work the electric bikes.

We rode the bikes to the Stechelberg Lift up to Murren. Electric bikes are amazing - when it becomes to hard to pedal you just change to electric - just like changing gears. Instead of taking the lift down from Grutschalp to Launterbrunnen, Steve and I decided to be daring and rode the bikes all the way down to the valley floor. A little steep in areas but an exhilarating ride.

Tip: My bottom was sore so recommend getting extra padding for the bike seat.

The next day after breakfast, Steve and I headed to the Coop Grocery to purchase more food for our hike on the other side of the valley. Caught the train to Wengen, then the gondola to Mannlichen so we could hike to Kleine Scheidegg. Once we arrived at Kleine Scheidegg we caught the train back down to Lauterbrunnen.
